Dear Colleagues and Friends,
The French Handball Federation is pleased to welcome you to this international medical congress: "Medicine of Champions, evolving medicine" organised in association with the International Federation.
Handball has considerably evolved for over the past two decades. The players have become taller, stronger and faster. How has medicine accompanied or followed this progression? Has it participated in the development of this sport or in the direction it took?
The organisation of the World Championship in France is an opportunity to establish a picture of the involvement of medicine with this sport, worldwide. To compare our practices, to exchange views with other team sports, to observe the results and to consider the different ways for research and prevention which are suggested nowadays – such are the aims of the International Medical Congress that will take place of the 20th and 21st of January 2017 at the French National Olympic and Sports Committee in Paris. During these two days, international experts will show their work and discuss it with you.
We are hoping you will be interested in this programme and look forward to welcoming you in the City of Lights!
